THE BREATH PROJECT
The Breath Project is an audio-visual journey through the landscapes of life. Philip Clemo is the Creative Director and the project is produced by perfectmotion.
Using cutting-edge camera and motion-tracking technologies, Breath explores the relationships we have with both our ageing bodies and the planet we live on. This journey takes audiences through eight phases of human life, from birth to death, and across the many (aerial to microscopic) environments we inhabit.
The work is a multi-sensory experience in several forms including non-verbal short and feature films and a highly interactive multi-media art installation.
Breath has been working with Academy Award winning Arri and Vision Research camera manufacturers and Mark Roberts Motion Control. It has an Oscar, Emmy and Olivier winning creative team, and is partnered with five UK universities including Oxford and Cambridge. The Breath Project has been featured at London’s V&A Museum and the Eden Project in the UK.
Clemo has presented his work on Breath in TEDx and TED talks and the short film First Breath is below…
